Becoming Who God Called You to Be

There comes a moment in your walk with God where you feel the shift... not on the outside, but deep inside.

A quiet pull.

A quiet nudge.

A reminder that you weren't created to just exist...

You were created to become.

But becoming who God called you to be doesn't happen overnight.

It happens in the small, hidden, uncomfortable places where nobody else sees the work except Him.

God calls you before you feel ready

Most people wait until they feel "good enough" to step into their purpose. But God doesn't call the equipped. He equips the called.

If you're feeling unqualified, messy, unsure, or still healing... that doesn't disqualify you. It positions you.

Every Bible hero was called in the middle of their weakness:

  • Moses had speech problems
  • Gideon struggled with fear
  • David was overlooked
  • Jeremiah felt too young
  • Peter was impulsive

But God didn't wait for perfection. He moved in purpose in accordance to their surrender and obedience.

------------- My Story ---------------

There have been so many seasons in my life where I tried one thing after another. I've had different careers, different paths, and different attempts at figuring out who I was supposed to be. I failed at every setback but God gave me the strength to persevere and the courage to overcome obstacles I didn't think I could handle.

Looking back now, I realized those moments weren't wasted... they were shaping me. Every failure, every redirection, every closed door was preparing me to carry the weight of my calling. Today, I feel like I'm truly walking in the purpose God designed for my life: to be a light in this world, to share the gospel, and to remind people that their story is not over. If He can use all of my detours for His glory, He can do the same for anyone reading this.

Becoming requires letting go

Sometimes becoming who God called you to be means:

  • letting go of who you used to be
  • releasing the version of yourself you've already outgrown
  • walking away from places you've been delivered from
  • accepting that everyone cannot go where God is taking you

Elevation always creates separation. Not everyone will understand this version of you and that's okay.

God uses pressure to reveal His purpose

The seasons that you feel crushing are often the seasons that shape you the most. Pressure doesn't destroy you.. it prepares you.

It teaches you:

  • resilience
  • obedience
  • surrender
  • trust
  • discernment

The very areas the enemy tried to break you in becomes the very areas God strengthens you in.

Becoming is a daily "yes"

Your calling isn't a one-time moment... it's a daily choice.

Every time you choose:

  • faith over Fear
  • purpose over comfort
  • obedience over opinion
  • peace over chaos
  • Jesus over everything

You step deeper in to the person He created you to be.

Some days your "yes" will feel strong. Some days it will feel shaky. Both still count.

Your becoming is connected to others

Your purpose is not just about you... it's about who you will impact.

Your testimony, your growth, your healing, your process... God will use it to speak to someone else's heart.

Your becoming gives others permission to believe they can too.

You are already becoming even if you can't see it

Growth doesn't always feel loud.

Sometimes it feels like:

  • peace where you used to panic
  • strength where you used to break
  • clarity where you use to question
  • purpose where you used to wander
  • God where you used to feel alone

That's becoming. It's quiet... but powerful.

A reminder for today

You don't have to have it all together to walk in your calling.

Show up with what you have.

Give God your yes.

Let Him handle the becoming.

Because the truth is:

Faith in Him makes you new.
And every day, you're becoming the person He saw in you all along.
